Simple Cotton Top | A Beautiful Mess
Here’s another simple to sew top for all my beginner sewers (that includes me!) This is a pretty and easy (pretty easy, hah!) pattern, and bonus: no patterns! Ugh, patterns are the bane of my existence. I’m also digging this fabric! Plus, if you don’t want to do straps in the same fabric as the shirt body, the possibiltes are endless - you could use lace, ribbon, any kind of trim (pom pom!?) or even leather thonging or chain!
Creative Bedroom Ideas | Lolalina
I have been trying to think of a way to make over my room. I’m allowed to paint or wallpaper (yay!) but… it all feels kind of done. Plus, my bedroom doesn’t get a lot of light and I don’t want it to feel smaller than it already is. This is perfect! It frames the bed, brings colour to the room and it means I get to have three different colours. I adore everything about this room - this pic is going straight to my landlord (Dad!)
Valentine Twig Arrows | Homework
If you’re trying to think of something a little different this Valentine’s day than the usual store bought cards, then this is the perfect crafty alternative! You could make them for a little one to give out in school, give them to co-workers with magnets on the back for them to hold their Valentine’s cards up or use them to point to something in the house for a loved one… they’re so adorable!
I am in love with thee stairs. I can think of at least twenty book titles that would go perfectly on a set. Definitely on my to do list if we ever get a house with the right kind of stairs for this project.
Birthday | The Beatles
I think that this should replace singing the traditional Happy Birthday song, don’t you?! I couldn’t resist posting it today :-)
Chocolate & Peanut Butter Acorns | Six In The Suburbs
When I lived in the USA, one thing that stood out the most for me in regards to food was that Americans love peanut butter and chocolate. Seriously, there are a million different chocolate bars that have some kind of peanut butter/chocolate variation, there’s biscuits, there’s cereal… After my first Butterfinger I was like - oh my gosh, this is the greatest thing EVER. So when I saw these adorable little ‘acorns’, I immediately went searching USA Foods (a truly awesome site for us Aussies for American food!) for mini Nutter Butters… nope. Frowny face. I might contact them and ask if they can order them in… for those of you who have easier access to Nutter Butter Minis, these would be perfect for a party or… a party of one?! If you don’t love peanut butter and chocolate as much as I do, you could also try this recipe for Acorn Donut Holes (I miss donut holes. Sigh.)
